Madinah has a special place in the hearts of Muslims since the Prophet's migration (peace and blessings be upon him) until eternity. And with this status, it has a significant role in the history of the Islamic State, both at the level of events in the Islamic nation and at the level of the social role represented by Medina its people, and among the milestones The important thing in the history of Medina is the spread of Endowment with different uses and the impact of these Endowment sand the social role that they have played since their inception, and The Endowment is a word that means a building or a residence established by some good people seeking reward from Allah, which is dedicated to the housing of men and women of the elderly and the poor, and to students of science strangers, The Endowment's function developed in the Mamluk era and evolved into a role for science and shelter for his students, where it was initially used for soldiers to guard the vacancies . The Mamluk era is a cultural, scientific and cultural Islamic era . this study has sought to shed light on the Endowment in Medina from its inception to the end of the Mamluk period, a period that extends for centuries, This has had a significant impact on clarifying the role of the Endowment in Medina, and the study has examined the endowment as one of the most significant factors affecting Endowment in Medina. The study also highlighted the Endowment in the Abbasid State in terms of the motivation, role and types of its establishment.
A simple and detailed presentation of the Endowmen twas made in Madinah from the beginning of the endowment in the reign of the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him salvation) and the Companions from after him, to the end of the Mamluk era in terms of the motives for creating the Endowment in Madinah before the Ayubi era and The most famous Endowment in the time of the Ayubien, and the Endowment in the Medina Monawara in the Mamluk era. The study also clarified the Endowment's functions in Madinah through two main functions: The scientific function and the social function. |
