Abstract
:
This paper predicts the natural modes and natural frequencies of a bearing less rotor using component mode synthesis (CMS) method. CMS is an excellent method to analyze the vibration of large complex structures. The rotor is modeled as two substructures. The natural frequencies and the frequency response functions are presented. Results obtained by the CMS method are compared with results obtained using UMARC (University of Maryland Advanced Rotorcraft Code) The comparison shows good agreement and exposed the capability of CMS method to model the bearing less rotor.
