Abstract : The study has dealt with the Shami woman role in Al-Mamluk era, during the period extending from (658-923AH \ 1260–1517A.D.). Where the woman had participated in the formation of community events and had been an effective factor in all different aspects of life. The study has given references to the Shami woman intrusion in some of the political life aspects in the Mamluk state, which were related to the rule and administration domain, either directly or indirectly. She had the apparent and clear reaction with the daily and general life events in Al-Sham land during that period. As for the economic domain, resources and historic tests had proven the capability of the Shami woman, in Al-Mamluk era, for work, and had acquired some handcrafts which characterized her till this present time. These handcrafts were appropriate for her feminine nature. It had also assured the possession of her own fortunes and wealth, which explicitly had shown her wealthiness. On the other hard, the study has been distinguished by the recital for the most famous woman scholars in Al-Mamluk era, at that period. Their fame was in the field of science and teaching. They were pioneers in science and education domain. I have set apart that aspect in the scientific life of the Shami woman chapter. The study has shown a special image of the Shami woman through the inherited Shami traditions and customs, in all aspects of life such as marriage, birth, religious and social events, festivals, together with giving an accurate description of different clothes and their types, and the cosmetic tools used by the Shami woman during that period.
